Joint work of Stanford University and Elsevier, using the Scopus database, published a list of scientists with citation impact in the world as an article in the journal PLOS Biology. Prof. Çağatay Candan, Assoc. Özgür Ergül, Prof. Ahmet Hava, Prof. Umut Orguner and Assoc. Prof. Emre Tuna have been included. We congratulate them on their work that has gained worldwide attention and impact.

Graduate School of Natural and Applied Science Awards for the 2018-2019 Academic Year are announced.

Göktuğ Cihan Özmen, one of our graduates, was awarded the 2018-2019 Academic Year Thesis Award for his master's thesis titled "Design and Characterization of a MEMS Membrane for a Fiber Optic Microphone", which he completed under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Barış Bayram.

Our department's research assistant and doctoral student Cem Şahiner was awarded the 2018-2019 Academic Year Course Performance Award.
