On Tuesday, March 26, between 16.30 and 18.30 at D-231 Sevim Tan Amphitheater, we will host Prof. Dr. Ahmet Rumeli, one of the retired lecturers of our department, and you are all invited to our event! The event will be on electric energy and developments in the sector.
Who is Ahmet Rumeli Briefly?
He was born in 1938 in Bitlis. In 1962, he received his Master Engineer diploma from Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Electricity, and in 1967, he received his doctorate degree from Strathclyde University in Glasgow, United Kingdom. Following the advice of the late President Turgut Özal, he joined the Middle East Technical University (METU):

Associate Professor in 1974,
In 1980, he became a professor and
He retired due to the age limit in February 2005.
He worked as a part-time faculty member between (2005-2022).
Academic service period: 01.08.1962-01.08.2022: (60 years).
