Our faculty member, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif Vural has been awarded a prize within the scope of the 2026 Young Scientists Award Program organized by the Science Academy. We congratulate Dr. Vural on this significant achievement and wish her continued success.

Prof. Dr. Elif Uysal has been recognized with the IEEE INFOCOM 2026 Test of Time Paper Award for a study she co-authored. The awarded paper, originally published in 2016, advanced the concept of "Age of Information" — a measure of data freshness in communication networks — by demonstrating that transmitting updates as frequently as possible is not necessarily optimal.

The Selection Committee for the Serhat Özyar Young Scientist of the Year Award, following its evaluations, has decided to award one candidate the "Serhat Özyar Young Scientist of the Year Award" and three candidates with "Honorary Awards" as encouragement in 2025.
