Project Type: HORIZON-CL5-2024-D3-02-05
The SOLAR-MOVE project is designed to support the widespread adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) while reducing their impact on power grids. To achieve this, the project will develop solutions for four key types of Vehicle-Integrated Photovoltaic (VIPV) systems that address most road transport scenarios:
i) VIPVs used in urban environments,
ii) VIPVs integrated into residential and commercial buildings,
iii) VIPVs for passenger transport vehicles, and
iv) VIPVs for highway use.
The initiative focuses on three primary objectives:
i) extending VIPV-equipped EVs’ daily driving range by 5 to 10 km compared to standard EVs,
ii) cutting grid energy reliance by 20% to 50%, depending on the application, and
iii) developing economically viable solutions with a positive Net Present Value.
