The opening ceremony for the serial production facility of the infrared detectors designed and fabricated by Prof. Dr. Cengiz Besikci and his team in collaboration with ASELSAN has been held on April 8, 2014 with the participation of Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz and Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Fikri Isik.
Assoc. Prof. Özgür Ergül has received prestigious 2014 TUBITAK Encouragement award for his contributions in the areas of electromagnetics, specifically in computational electromagnetics and numerical computations.

Prof. Dr. Haluk Kulah has received prestigious 2013 TUBITAK Encouragement award for his contributions in the areas of Microsystems and Micromechanical Systems (MEMS), specifically in "Energy Harvesting in MEMS", "Micro-fluidity", "BioMEMS" and "Micro-g Resolution Accellerometers".
